Happenings lately

Okay, Okay you can all stop yelling at me. I have not been very good at posting lately and I am truly sorry. So now I will give you a post overload. All of you have been wondering what we have been up to lately so here you go.

When we were in Idaho (see next post for reason) my good friend gave the girls a box full of craft things and so of course they are in Heaven being able to do all sorts of things.

Blake has been doing tons of homework. He will not actually graduate till July but he gets to do the graduation walk in May. It is only 7 weeks away. Wow. He didn't want to do the walk thing but is being a good sport for his wife and doing it for me. I think that it is a major accomplishment and I want to see him up there with his degree. (Thanks for humoring me babe!)

For those of you that have been asking for a belly pic here you go. It is not my favorite pic but it gives you an idea of how big (or small) I am. I am now 25 weeks and getting so impatient about meeting Eli. All things are going really well. I went to the doctor's the other day and all is well. I am still down by 3 pounds from when I got pregnant but have gained some since my last appointment so that is good. The doc found his heartbeat right away and it was going strong at 144 bpm. He is a very active baby. He likes to beat his mom's insides up. But I love it cause then I know that he is doing alright.

The girls have become fascinated with my belly. They love to sing him songs and especially love to put lotion on it for me. Rylee will come up to me a few times a day and ask if Eli is gicky. She likes me to say yes cause then she will get the lotion out and grease him up. I am glad that they are so in love with him.

Trip to Idaho

The week before spring break the girls and I headed out to Idaho to take care of some stuff. Sadly when we were there Blake's Grandpa unexpectedly passed away. So Blake flew out to come to the funeral. Unfortunately these are the only pictures I got of the whole trip. While we ere there Blake's mom bought the girls and I a new Easter dress. It was so needed and so greatly appreciated. The one good thing of Blake having to come out was that then I didn't have to drive all the way back by myself. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be, especially while being pregnant. It was really nice to see family again as well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

For Saint Patrick's Day we all headed out to watch the Parade down town. I have to admit that it was pretty boring and very, very long. But it was nice to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. The kids had fun catching the candy and best of all we got to spend the whole day with Blake since it was spring break. Later that afternoon we went to the roller skating rink. One of Paige's friend had a birthday party there and so Blake went skating with Paige while Rylee and I hung out and watched them.

Blake's Trip

Over Spring Break Blake got to go to Washington, D.C. for a Moot Court competition. We were very proud of him. He had put a lot of work into his brief and oral argument. Here are a couple pictures of his trip.

Hair Affair

The other day we had to go do some running around and so Paige wanted to take the scissors in the car so that she could cut some pictures out for her friends. I ran in to get a package from the clubhouse and came out and found that she had cut more than the paper.

I asked what would posses her to cut her hair and her reply was "I asked Rylee if I should do it and she said that I should"

Oh well then that makes it all better.

Luckily when I took down her hair and assessed the damage it wasn't to bad so I am just going to let it grow out.

So later that day the girls were up at the table coloring and Rylee was cutting paper (her new favorite thing to do). And she snipped her hair. Unfortunately she got it to where it was in the front and it stood straight up. So I had to give her dreaded bangs. I am not a fan of bangs and worked really hard to grow hers out. So now she has dorky bangs and we are not sure how we feel about it. She definitely looks different.

Reflections

We put a stool in the bathroom so that Rylee could wash her hands. As soon as Blake put it in there she stood up on it and pulled a face.
