Tonight we had Brent and Michelle and their children over for dinner which was really nice. We had a really good dinner. Well after they left we broke out the blankets and built a fort on the kitchen table. The girls had so much fun crawling in and around the fort. They especially liked the story that daddy told about the penguins and the dinosaurs.

Our good friend Sally is always coming up with these really cute things for us to do so that our husbands can study and we don't get bored. So on Saturday we drove out to Baldwin City and went to the Maple Leaf Festival. They had a train that we could ride. We had to wait for it so we went to the park and let the kids play.
This is a picture of the "moms" that we went with: Sally, Laura, and Ina.Paige was swinging on the one of the swings that they had.
I don't know if you can read the ticket that we got but on the bottom it says From: Baldwin, Kansas. To: Nowhere, Kansas and Return. There was a brick wall around the park that we moms hung out on while the kids played. So we decided to line up the kids and get this really cute pictures of them.
Elise, Nona, Isaac, Stockton, Paige, Maddy, Rylee, and Sammy.
The girls and I enjoyed the train ride so much. We think that we need to bring Blake back to do it with us. This is the first train I have ever ridden on.Paige kept hanging her head out the window to see all the things going by. As she was looking out the window she noticed a boy sitting down a few seats from us and they started playing peek a boo out the windows. It was hilarious.
Shortly after the train ride started they had some train robbers come through and then at the end of the ride they stopped and had a shoot out with the police and the robbers.
The kids thought that this was a cool little thing to watch. And here we are in Nowhere, Kansas!
This was my little cutey looking out the
window at the beautiful scenery. Paige loved the train ride.
This was after we got off and the kids were a little bit grumpy.
All in all we had a great day on this little train ride. It was a really warm day but was quite windy. It was a gorgeous drive out there except that Rylee was teething and she screamed the whole way there.

Last week for play group we went to the governor's mansion and walked around and then had a picnic lunch. It was so pretty. This picture is looking away from the mansion and it is the clock tower of the old insane asylum.
They have a pond at the end of a tree lined pathway that is so beautiful. It is the kind of tree lined driveway that I would love to have some day.
Paige, Alivia, and Maya had a lot of fun walking together.

Kristen, Sally, Brandy, and I had our day planned out great. We were going to meet at the Farmers Market and then go to the finish line and watch Devry, Annie, and Megan run their marathon. Well then the thunder and lightning along with the rain rolled in last night and stayed until late in the morning. So the marathon got canceled, and Kristen and I thought that the Farmers Market would not be open so we didn't go. Well it turns out it was open and Sally got us our vegetables we wanted. So we thought that we would change our plans and just go walk around the Washburn campus and take the kids to feed the fish. Well we got to the school and what was it doing raining. No it was like flash flooding. It was crazy. So we yet again had to change our plans and ended up at the mall. We were crazy enough to take 9 kids shopping but found some really good deals and the kids had a blast playing in the play area. The mom's also had a great time talking like we always do. Got to love the weather that makes us change our plans.

Today Kristen and I took the kids to the museum. It was an absolute blast. When you walk in the door their is a big train that the kids can play on.Paige did really well at throwing the rings on the pegs and Rylee did a great job of taking them off.
They had an old phone operators table and Rylee loved it. She loved being able to put the cord things in the holes.
This is her buddy Jack. They got to play tractors together on this big table that had a picture of a road and field on it.
Lunch anyone? Paige and Paige had fun serving food to each other.
They also had these really neat play houses and barn with animals.
