Preschool

This is kinda late but I have a good excuse. My computer is on the fritz, it will shut off at random times. So I have to use Blake's computer so I won't lose all the stuff I did.
Anyways, Paige started preschool on August 18, 2008. She loves it. She gets to ride the bus and I think that is why she likes it so much. The bus picks her up right at our door and drops her off here. So I have almost 4 hours to get stuff done because Rylee takes a great nap at that time as well.

Her backpack is rather large but we couldn't find anything smaller, plud we figured she could use it next year as well.

Of course when I told Paige to get her backpack on Rylee had to get hers too. She is so cute when it comes to this. She gets sad when Paige has to leave so I usually take her over to the park for a while after we get Paige on the bus. Well the first day she kept asking where her bus is. And when she gets up from her nap, as soon as I walk in there, she says she wants her Paigee. They are such great friends.

Kids say the darndest things

Paige comes up to me this morning and asks if I will get her a drink. I said "sure hunny". She gets this big grin on her face gives me a hug and says "thanks mom I knew I could count on you!!!" I absolutely love this little girl.

Science World

We went to Science world before we went to the aquarium and had a blast. It is right on the water front. It is a huge dome shaped place that is entirely devoted to kids. It is all hands on and they have some really neat things.

This was my favorite thing. It is a water table thing that the kids can put the balls into a vacuum thing and shoot them to the top. They then come down through a series of things. You could also take your ball up the stairs and drop it from up high and watch them come down.

We went to a little Alphabet movie that I thought would be great for Rylee, it ended up being the corniest movie I have ever seen. They had totally random things for the letters and it was just dumb!

Paige had a blast with all the fun things to explore. She got a taste of what life would be like if she had been a sextuplet.

There was this one illusion that you had to try to grab the apple. Well Rylee was not content to just sit there and try she was going to go get that apple and ran right into the glass. I felt kinda bad for her cause she hit hard, but it was quite funny.

Vancouver Aquarium

The next day we headed to the Vancouver Aquarium. They had recently had a baby beluga whale born and we got to go down and see it. That was Paige's favorite part of the whole trip. We also got to see these really cool Jelly Fish. They had a display of them that went all the way from the egg stage to the big stage. It was really neat.

Canada Trip part 1

After spending about 2 weeks in Smithers with my family my mom, step-dad, little sister, the girls, and I headed down to Vancouver for a few days of fun. Blake decided to surprise us and showed up there to spend it with us. It was nice to have him there.

First we hit the water park. I am in love with water parks. Whenever we go anywhere I have to see if there are any around that we can go to. This one had this huge tube ride that you went in a huge tube. It was awesome.

Paige absolutely loved this slide she went on it about a few dozen times.

Near the end of our day we realized that Paige could go on the big slides with us. She is truly my child though and didn't want to go with us. She wanted to go all by herself.

After the water park we hit the Castle of Fun by our hotel. We got to ride on the Go Karts, play mini golf, do the arcade games, and ride the bumper boats.

Near the end of our mini golf game we found some slugs on the coarse. Blake couldn't believe how big they were so he had to take a picture.

I will post later about our other activities.

Drag racing

While I was in Canada we went to Terrace for the Drag races. We camped there for 2 nights and had a blast. The girls love camping.

My step dad races a Harley. It is freaky watching him go down the track.

When he gets to the end he has to shut his motor off so someone has to go down and pull him back. Usually my sister Brooke does this. Paige was sad that she couldn't go down so grandma took her on lots of rides.

Rylee had a ball just running around. She wouldn't wear the pelters to cover her ears from the sound and Paige wouldn't take them off the whole weekend. Even if there was no races on she would still wear them everywhere. It was really cute.

Baby announcement

So I had posted earlier that I was thinking about doing baby announcements, I thought that I would post this and see what you all think. This is the baby announcement that I made for my sister-in-law. I think it was really cute. Dianne wanted something not pink. So this is what we came up with, what do you think?

Mattea Maray

One of the main reasons that I came to Smithers when I did was to see my new niece Mattea Maray. She was born the Thursday after I got here. She is so cute and so sweet. I am glad that I got to be here to see her when she is so new. It has also been fun to see my brother become a dad for the first time.

My sister-in-law Dianne and I did a photo shoot yesterday with her and right at the very end I just happened to get this picture of her smiling. It made the whole thing worth it (she wasn't happy about the pictures).
