I went shopping today

I went and did a little shopping today for the baby and this is what I found. That is right we are pleased to announce that we are having a baby Boy!!!!! His name is Eli Marcus and currently weighs 11 ounces. We are so excited and I can't stop smiling. The ultrasound went well. I have never had to do one with a full bladder and never want to have that experience again. I about died. The tech took the 2 pics she needed and then let me go potty before she resumed. We saw him chewing on something, sucking his thumb, holding his hands up by his head, and crossing his feet. We got a ton of pictures and will post them when Blake is here cause I have to scan them onto his computer first. She gave us a little scare at the end. She said that my fluid looked low so she had a doctor take a look. He wasn't concerned. The baby has lots around his head and feet, they were worried about around his abdomen. But the doctor said that my placenta was bulging a little, probably from a contraction, and so that was probably the reason for it. Anyways we are so excited to finally know so that we can plan even more.

Boston Trip

So this is going to a picture overload pot but there where to many neat ones to leave any out. So this is of our trip to Boston. We had a blast. It was really cold and we didn't really dress for it so we didn't get to see as much as we wanted but Casey and I had a great time relaxing and loving having a vacation from the kids. We were able to read a lot and just vej.

On Thursday night after we got there we thought we would brave the subway system and head to the CheeseCake Factory. It was so yummy. We all ate way more than we should have and then got cheesecake to go and ate it later that night as we played games.

The whole reason we went was so that the guys could attend a JRC conference which they really enjoyed. We joined them for meals and a couple speakers and thought it was good.

The conference was held at Harvard University. What an amazing campus. It was absolutely beautiful. The architecture in Boston is amazing.

On Friday night the conference took us for dinner at a place called Ned Devines. It is located on the top of Quincy Market. It was a really fun night. The crab cakes were amazing. And supposedley the meat on a stick was really good to but the guys forgot to tell us that so we missed out.

Because of time and weather we didn't quite make it to Cheers the Bar that we on T.V but we did find a replica of it at a shopping place that we hit.

At dinner on Friday night they had these Tap dancing girls performe. They were amazingly good. Check out their dresses. They were gorgeous.

After dinner that night we went to the Old South Meeting House in downtown. It was a really neat building.

I am not really good with details but I do believe that this is the museum that was on National Treasure that they run through.

This is the Old Trinity Church. It was stunning to be up close and see all the details in the building.

And of course we had to finish up the trip with racing on the Tortiouse and the Hare.

Uber slacker

I know that I have been an uber slacker on this blog. To catch you up I posted about Paige's birthday under this one. Other things that have been happening is that Blake and I are going with some friends to Boston in 2 days. We have a sweet friend here that is taking the girls for us. So we get to go by ourselves. Wow what will that be like. To be able to sleep in, not have to ask them to stop fighting, feed them, and worry about naps. I am so excited to go find out.

Then on next Friday, the 20th we get to have our BIG ultrasound and find out what this little gummy bear is. I really, really think that it is a boy but I guess we will just have to wait and see. This pregnancy has been different from the other ones. I have been craving lots of Mexican food and sweets. I can't get enough. Also with the other 2, by now I was done with the all morning sickness. Now don't get me wrong I am feeling waaaayyy better. But I still throw up in the morning. But as soon as I throwup I feel better. And usually feel great the rest of the day. I am still down 12 pounds but am starting to get a tummy. Oh and the best part of all is that I started feeling the baby move this last week. Blake is so anxious to be able to feel it. Hopefully soon.

Well I think that catches us up and will hopefully do better at updating.

Party Weekend

My baby is 5!!! On Feb 1 our little one turned the big, huge 5. Man do I feel old. She had a great birthday weekend. Because her birthday was on Sunday we did a lot of it on Saturday.

No this is not a torture device. It is an ear piercing thing. Paige has been asking me for about 6 months if she could get her ears pierced. Well we thought maybe that would be a great birthday present and it was only $6. So after pleading and bribing her with many, many things I finally had to sneak up behind her and pierce them. She freaked after the first one but was fine after the second.
When she freaked out the first time I started crying and thinking what did I do to my poor baby. It was sad.

When we were all done I asked her if she was glad that I had just done it. She got the biggest smile on her face and said "Oh ya I am mom" I am glad because then my guilt was alleviated.

And what is worse than getting an ice cream as a consolation prize?

After the torture session we headed over to Chuck E Cheese's and had fun playing around. The girls loved it. We rounded out the day by going to McDonald's and then home to watch a movie.

I think Rylee's favorite part was getting to hold her own cup of tokens and putting them in the games.

On her actual birthday we just had 2 friends and their families over for dinner and to help us celebrate.

It was a great end to a great birthday weekend. Oh and somewhere in there she got to open some really fun presents from her parents and grandparents and aunts.
