Our good friends, Tandee and Neil, had us and the Nielsen's over for games and dessert last night. We ended up playing a game called Expose Yourself. It is the funniest game ever. We all were laughing so hard that I think most of us had to change our huggies. Tandee said that her cheeks hurt from laughing so hard. To play the game you read a question and the others have to answer it. You then have to decide who wrote what answer for that question. It was a very fun night. We then left to go home and had to push the Nielsen's after they got stuck and then I had to push our van out when Blake got stuck. Thanks Tandee and Neil for a really fun night.

Keagan's Tree
Today we went up to Keagan's grave and decorated his Christmas tree. Last year our family all bought an ornament to put on it. So this year we head up there to freeze our little booties off. it was cold but it was nice to be with family and decorate his tree.

TRIPLETS
We went over to our friend, Kalli and Justin's, house today. We just sat around and talked and hung out. Then our friend Kara came over with her kids. So we had Rylee, Ashlynn, and Faith. Ashlynn and Faith are a couple weeks apart and then Rylee is about a month and a half younger than them. So we call them the triplets. They are so fun together.
As the girls sat in the house and talked, Blake and Justin pulled the kids on the sled behind the 4 wheeler. They were out there for about an hour. And they had a blast. They have really enjoyed being able to play together. In the picture is Bubba, Trey, Paige, and Statler.

Snow Fun
Paige has been asking for the last 2 months if we could build a snowman. Since there is only ice in Kansas we told her she had to wait till we came to Idaho Falls. So yesterday her, Blake, Rylee, and I went out and built a snowman. The snow was not the best so we only made a little one but it accomplished the task. Blake then brought out the 4 wheeler and pulled us in the sleds behind it. It was an absolute blast.

Winter Wonderland
After Blake's last final on Thursday I dropped the girls off at Shanai's house and we went to a Thai restaurant for some really really good food. After we picked up the girls we went and picked up Jared and Kristen and their boys and headed out to Lake Shawnee to see the Christmas lights. There are a million lights and it is really cool. The kids loved to see all the lights.

Our 1st sleep over
Last week when the ice storm hit it knocked out the power to about 65,000 people in the state of Kansas. One of the families effected by that was our great friends, the Rodgers. They had no power and Brenden had a final the next morning. So we offered for them to come have a sleep over with us.
Here is their Paige and Rylee right before bed time.
They all stayed in Paige and Rylee's room. They had a lot of fun in there.
I think that Rylee would have loved to have been able to sleep in there with them but mom wouldn't let her.
So instead she had to sleep in our bed with us, but she did not want to go to sleep. She kept wondering out into the dining room where the guys were studying. Brenden scooped her up and she snuggled into him while he studied. It was so cute.
We had a lot of fun at our sleepover!!

Blake is done
Well he is done for about 4 weeks. But I will take it. Blake took his last final at 1:00 today and then I picked him up, without the kids, and then we went out for a nice dinner and then went with Kristen and Jared to see the lights on Shawnee Lake (pictures yet to come). We are so excited that he is done for Christmas and are excited that we can spend time with him and not feel guilty. Other law wives "Yeah girls we got through a semester".

Ice Storm
Before we came out here we never knew what an ice storm or freezing rain was. Well this is when the rain comes down and the instant it hits the ground or your windshield it is ice. So therefore it makes it really hard to drive in. It also makes it hard to get into your vehicle when there is 2 inches of ice on it. Everything is closed today so I canceled preschool. This morning when I looked out the window I saw this tree and so Blake, being the wonderful husband that he is, went out and got a picture for me, IN THE FREEZING RAIN, so that you could all see what this craziness is about.

Christmas in Kansas
My Dad and Rita sent us a Christmas package the other day and so we thought instead of taking all of it to Idaho we would do a little Christmas here before we left. Since we don't know when for sure we are leaving and next week is going to be crazy busy we thought that we should do it today. It was so much fun!!
We had the kids go play in their room while we set up the presents. (Notice the bottom of our tree isn't decorated, it is so Rylee couldn't get them.)
The girls were so excited to come out and see the presents.
Paige received a beautiful porcelain doll.
She quickly went and put it in her room so Rylee could not wreck it. She has been staring at it a lot today.
Rylee loved being able to open the presents. She got a little irked when she couldn't get a grasp on the paper. She got
a baby and kept saying "baby, baby" it was
so cute. She would not take her eyes off of it the whole time she was unwrapping it.
Dad and Rita also sent them these gorgeous dresses. I was so excited because I had just been out shopping and had wanted to get them a Christmas dress so I am glad that they now have one.
Whenever I try to take Paige's picture she does a wierd smile and so I rarely get a good one. So I had Blake tickle her and I think that it turned out so beautiful. This is my new favorite picture of her.
Thanks dad for making this a fun Christmas in Kansas.

Caroling of the Children
Our friend Sally had us all over last night to go caroling. We had a blast. Kristen told the Orange story to the kids and then they headed out to carol to the neighbors and hand out oranges and a copy of the story. Laura and I stayed at the house with the younger ones as it was only 9 degrees outside. I didn't think that Rylee would enjoy it enough to freeze our noses off.
Here are all the kids "listening" to the story right before they headed out.
Since it was so cold they only went to a couple houses and then they came back and we called their grandparents on the phone and caroled to them. Rylee loved having the jingle bells on her neck.
Paige got to wear one of the Santa hats.I came into the living room to see
Rylee watching the T.V very
intently.
We hung out for a while after that eating good treats and having some much needed girl talk. When I got home I couldn't stop taking because it was so much fun. Thank you Sally for hosting and all the other Law Wives for such a fun night.

Daddy's Little Girl
After dinner last night Blake and I were dancing in the dining room. When we got done Paige goes up to Blake and says "Will you do what you were doing with mom with me." He wasn't sure what she meant so I told him she wanted to dance with him. It was so cute to see them dancing around. She is 100% daddy's little girl.

HO HO HO and Festival
They had a festival of trees here on Saturday so 5 of us girls thought that we would take 15 kids to it. Maybe not the smartest idea we have had but it was frun. The best part of the day was that the kids got to see Santa. He was very long winded but really nice to the kids. Rylee didn't want anything to do with him but sat long enough to get a picture. Paige loved it and the fearless 3 year old she is jumped right onto his lap and sat and listened intently on Santa telling her that she needed to 1) eat her veggies 2) Clean her room and 3) have mom read to her because reading is the most important thing. Like I said he was very long winded. But the kids loved it. The festival itself was very very small. I think that they had maybe 25 trees. But it got us out of the house while the guys studied so it was good.
