Funny things that Paige says

Since Paige makes me laugh on a regular basis I thought that I would enlighten you to some of the funny things that she says. I love to see the world through a 3 year old.

Today she wanted an apple so I gave her one and she munched her way through it until almost all was gone. She then comes into me and says "Mom my apple is dry" so I told her to go run it under some water. She comes back and says "No I think I just need a yogurt."

When I ask her to do something she now responds by pointing her finger at me and says "you NEED to beee nice to meee."


This morning when we got done breakfast I sat on the floor and asked Paige if I could have a hug. So as we are hugging we discuss that she can wear a skirt today because "it is cold outside mom, but it is warm in here, so it will be okay." She goes to get up and I ask her if we could cuddle a little bit longer and this is the response I get "Oh mom you can cuddle me after I get dressed ok."

The best of all is that lately when I get dressed or do my hair and makeup or put my jacket on she comes in and tries to whistle at me and says "oh mom you look so beautiful, I love it."


I absolutely love my little girl. She is the best.

Follow up to Ostrich Post

It has been a while since I have added anything to our blog so today I have a few new blog entries.




Daddy has taught her how to bonk heads. She thinks that it is hilarious.






Whenever I do the girls hair Rylee likes to "drink" the water out of the water bottle.








Yesterday I came out of my bedroom to see Rylee laying on the table with her feet up coloring a picture.






When Blake was digging out the christmas things he found the 18 month clothes and pulled them out. I remember Paige in this out fit at 18 months. The only difference is that Paige fit into it a lot better than Rylee does right now.







This little outfit is actually one that my little sister Brooke wore when she was little. I love it cause the fabric sticks out in the back and makes them look like they have a little "duck bum".

Mass Candy consumption

On Friday Brandi had Kristen and I and our kiddos over to make gingerbread houses. I think that there was more candy that got consumed than actually put on the houses but the kids had so much fun. Rylee even helped put some M&Ms on the roof of her house! We have such wonderful friends here that come up with the cutest ideas. Thanks Brandi.

Breakfast at Sally's

On Tuesday morning our good friend Sally had some of the law student wifes over for a french toast breakfast. It was really fun and yummy! After breakfast we took the kids outside to play in the leaves. It is a good thing we did that because the next day it was really cold and has been since then, so I think that was our last nice day for a while.

Sunday Afternoon Stroll

Since we had our Stake conference this morning we had some time this afternoon, after naps, to go for a walk on the Shunga Trail. We had so much fun. We took both the strollers but didn't need either of them. I think Rylee was in hers for a total of 10 minutes and Paige sat in hers for about 2 minutes. We had so much fun playing in the leaves and taking fun pictures. Blake's sister is doing a family calender for us for next year and needs pictures of all of us we thought that this would be a good time to take some to send to her since it isn't often that we get to be all together at a beautiful place. It was very nice out today at 61 degrees. As we were walking we kept saying I Love This. This is what you see in the movies. This is what everyone wants. We are truly blessed.

Wunder Bar

When Lauren came down to see us she was nice enough to bring us some wonderful Canadian chocolate that is so much better than the waxy crap that they sell down here. So Blake introduced Rylee to her first taste of a wonder bar today.

Lauren and Angela came to see us

My cousin Lauren and her friend Angela came and saw us this last Thursday and Friday. The girls and I went to Kansas City to pick them up from the airport. The girls loved being able to go watch the airplane come in. We then came back and talked for a while. The next day we took them to the governor's mansion and walked around a bit. It was a lot of fun to be able to have some family here.








Lauren kept lifting them up to grab the leaves off and they loved it.




I tried to get a good picture of the two of them walking but they didn't really cooperate. Rylee won't let Paige hold her hand and then Paige wanted to run ahead of her, so this is the cutest one I could get.

Cousin IT

Rylee woke up from her nap and wanted to sit on the counter while I did the dishes. She grabbed the camera and wanted to take a picture of her. So here is her cousin IT picture. Then we thought we would take an "after" picture. If you click on the pictures you can see them bigger and they are better.

Blue-Eyed Beauty

I just love the way that Rylee looks in this picture. She is sitting on our bed after church in the outfit that Kalli gave her. She loves the book that she is reading, it is a nursery rhyme book.

Grandparent visit

This post is a little late but what can I say.
Last month Blake's parents and friends
came for a visit to Nauvoo and other church history sites. We met them in Far West and then went to Haun's Mill. It was really fun to be able to see them and the sites. Blake and I had seen some of them but not these ones. We then had them over for dinner on Sunday. We made this really good brisket (thanks Alan for the recipe). It was fun to have them here and be able to show them our new place.
Thanks guys for coming and spending some time with us. The girls
also loved seeing their grandparents again.

Happy Halloween

Last night Sally and John invited us to their house to go Tick or treating in their neighborhood. The husbands set out with the kids and the wives stayed and handed out candy and drank hot cocoa and ate yummy treats. It was so much fun. The kids enjoyed themselves and got lots of candy. Rylee got to wear
ladybug I made Paige a couple years
ago and Paige was Belle.
