Our Gummy Bear

So here is how my morning went. Got to the doctor's and waited forever to go back. Then had to answer a bunch of questions. Not bad. Well then they tell me they want to do an exam. Well goodness it is a good thing I shaved my legs! So he does the exam and everything is great. He gets out his doppler and listens forever and can't find the heartbeat. Not such a big deal. He tell's me maybe I am not as far along as we thought, maybe it is because my uterus is tipped back, but in any case let's get you in for an ultrasound. Well I had one scheduled already for Tuesday but asked if we could do it earlier cause then I don't have to freak out all weekend. (And yes I would have worried cause that is what I do). So off we go to the ultrasound and there one the screen is our beautiful little gummy bear waving at us and it's little heart beating at 171 bpm! So relieved. Oh and I made sure that she was sure there was only one in there. So all of you that thought that it was twins you are all wrong sorry. But we are glad to have one that is strong. Seeing it on the screen really made it real. We are really gonna have another baby. (not that the morning sickness wasn't convincing enough.)

First snow

Today I took the kids to the mall to play in the play area and when we walked out there was snow gently falling all around us. I love when it is snowing. I love the cozy feeling of it.

I know I have been slacking on this blog lately. But we really haven't been doing anything that is blog worthy. I took the girls to the gingerbread display and they got to put together their own house. They had a blast. Rylee just ate the candy as I decorated hers.

So some of you want to know details about this pregnancy so I will fill you in briefly. After trying to get pregnant since last December it finally happened 8 weeks ago. We are so very excited to be having a new little one in our family soon. I am due July 10th. This pregnancy is way different then the other 2 so I am convinced it is a boy (or 2). I have not thrown up yet and am so grateful for that. I feel very blessed. Even though I have bad morning sickness it is bearable. I was on the same dose of Chlomid as when I got pregnant with the twins so we will go in on Dec 16th to find out how many are in there. The girls are very excited about the baby. They are always wanting to sing to the baby and kiss my belly. It is very sweet. Paige wants a girl baby but I am doing my best to convince her that we should have a boy baby and name him Eli Marcus. I will keep working on her. Anyway we will keep you informed as our appointments come. Thanks all for the well wishes. We love you all.

Christmas Tree

Do you see my new little Christmas tree over there. It is very pretty huh? This will be the only tree that we put up this year (sad). We are not going to be here for Christmas so we are going to take all our Christmas stuff home. But what is truly amazing about that Christmas tree over there is the number that is on it. That is right people only 43 days left until Christmas. Holy cow!! I love this season. I love the smells, the traditions, the warmth, and just the overall snuggly feeling.

Sweet sounds at my feet

This is what was at my feet as I made a wonderful dinner for family the other night. This being the sounds of my little girls talking, getting along, and working on their letters. Paige was asking me how to spell different words and every once in awhile would ask me how to write different letters. She has her O's down well. I love my family and love nights like this when the girls are getting along and I am able to prepare a warm yummy meal to nourish my children and wonderful husband.

Halloween Chilli/Soup Cookoff

On Friday night we had the JRC Halloween Chilli/Soup Cook off. It was a lot of fun. The kids all dressed up in their costumes and were so cute. Some of the adults dressed up as well. We had a great turn out. Here are some pictures of the fun activities we did. (Yesterday we went to Boo at the Zoo. I will get those pics up soon.)

We did a donut eating contest. I was close to coming in first but Rachel beat me to it.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving

Being that I am from Canada and it is Thanksgiving in Canada today I thought that we should kind of celebrate it at our house tonight. It was so good if I do say so myself. This is the first 'bird" I have ever cooked and it turned out moist and yummy! All I did was stab a few lemons and shove them in and then made a wonderful herb rub for the top and baked it. Mmmmm! For dessert we had chocolate mouse pie. What a great meal and great excuse to make a wonderful dinner. Thanks Canada for celebrating Thanksgiving early so that we could do. Enjoy the pics but please for the sake of your computer try not to drool to much.

Not Dead Yet

No we did not fall off the face of the earth. We are still holding on by a little bit. Blake's computer died so he sent it in and that means that he has to take my computer so I get about 10 minutes to check my e-mail and stuff. So as soon as I get to use it again I will post pics of the Pumpkin Patch and other fun things we have been doing.

Blessed

When Blake and I were getting ready to move to Kansas I was really worried that we would not have any friends. We have great friends back in Idaho and were really sad to leave them. Well much to our surprise we have got some amazing friends out here. In a way they have become like family. Last Monday I was having a hard day and so my friend Sally showed up on Tuesday with this wonderful cupcake. It is from a cupcake place here named Daddy Cakes. Let me just tell you that it was absolutely sinful. I was very touched by her thoughtfulness. We are so blessed out here to have found as great of friends as we have back in Idaho.
