My good friend Kristin told me about this book. She had seen her a few times doing speeches. So I thought that I would borrow it and read it and see if I could get some ideas from it. I also thought that I would blog about it. She has a website as well www.FlyLady.net.
Okay so I start reading it and think maybe this is not the book for me. I don't think that my house is really that bad but I really want to get more organized. So I thought I would just keep going and see if I can get even one idea. Let me just say that I love this book. She is super funny and got some good ideas.
The very first thing that she says is to clean you kitchen SINK. Like REALLY clean your SINK. Then when you are done keep a towel by the sink and when you are done using the SINK just wipe it out with the towel. I don't know what it is about a clean SINK but it feels really good to walk by a clean SINK. My SINK has been clean now for 4 days. It has been really nice. Blake has even caught on and wipes it out. It is the best feeling and it has kept me from just putting things in the sink or on the counter.
Well that is as far as I have gotten so I will continue my journey of keeping my SINK clean and when I read some more I will let you know what next treasure I uncover. So until next time keep your SINK clean.

I love Flylady! :D she seriously has some good ideas. For EVERYTHING! And you are sooooo right. It's nice to look at your clean sink when nothing else is going right in your day and think "well, at least my sink is clean!" :D
So glad you love the book--I think I need to start flying again soon.
I feel like I'm the opposite. If all I have is a sink full of dishes, I'm okay with that. I guess the hard thing now is to make sure that only the sink is messy. Maybe I'll try it the flylady's way... =)
Oh Boy!
If it wasn't for flylady we wouldn't be able to find the kids. I'm still babystepping, doing the fling boogie, and room rescue, but most of the time our house is CHAOS! But it's almost sping so time to fly! Miss you guys.
I read your blog yesterday and cleaned my sink last night. It worked! It's funny how a clean sink made me feel good about my kitchen when I got up this morning.
I've never heard of her, but maybe I'll have to look into her book.
